CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF TRADING 1981 - 2006

Y F Furniture was established in 1981 by two husband and wife teams including Mike and Elaine Scott. One from each of these teams were employed by the original company, Yorkshire Fibreglass. When this company was disbanding, the two couples decided to buy the assets and start up for themselves, taking with them one of the key employees, Alan Bottomley, who was the pattern-maker.

At this time, Elaine was pregnant with her first child, Carly, who is now a Director of the Company and married to Adam Birkett, who is now the Sales Manager!

Based in West Yorkshire, to this day the company is still run by Elaine and Mike. Alan Bottomley is still a valued member of the family team as a Director of the company. Y F Furniture became a limited company in January 2002.

Formerly a fibreglass-moulding company, Y F Furniture has evolved over the years into one of the leading office furniture companies in the area.

Throughout the years, Y F have furnished many prestigious buildings and ships including the Royal Albert Hall and P&O Cruise Ships such as the Oriana and the Aurora.

Nowadays, we tend to specialise in office furniture, although supermarket furniture has become another speciality in recent years due to our being awarded the honour of furnishing all stores for a major supermarket chain.

We pride ourselves on never having to say 'No' - if a customer is looking for a particular item of furniture, we pull out all the stops to design a bespoke item or else source it for them.
