YF Furniture in partnership with Leeds Rhinos

May 1, 2018

YF Furniture are delighted to announce that, alongside Ashton Golding, we now also sponsor a member of the women’s Leeds Rhinos team, Charlotte Booth.

Last year, as well as being in her third year at Leeds Trinity University, the Exercise, Health and Nutrition student had the most wonderful news that she’d be travelling to Australia for her first Rugby League World Cup. Full back Booth scored twice against the Australians in the world cup, and also collected the Student Sport Individual winner’s title at the Leeds Sports Awards this year. What an achievement!

At 18 years old, after spending many years as a footballer, Charlotte made the transition to rugby league, playing for Bradford Bulls. Now the gifted 24-year-old plays for Leeds Rhinos and is part of ‘The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme’ (TASS) which is a Sport England-funded partnership between talented athletes, education institutions and national governing bodies of sport, working together to bring out the best in our country’s most exciting young talent. Charlotte was the first-ever TASS-supported female rugby league player in a year when female players became eligible for the first time.

She has worked hard for her successes, and the women’s team have made a great start to the season with two solid wins against Bradford and Wigan, with Charlotte scoring in both matches. We’d like to congratulate Charlotte on her fantastic achievements and wish her and the team the best of luck as the season progresses. We’re very proud to be sponsoring her!
